The goal of our kitchen is to utilize local grown fresh produce into Japanese authentic home-style dishes. We work with local vendors and serve fresh & healthy food for local people!

Miki Katayama, Head Chef

The owner, Miki, has a Master’s degree in Food Science, a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science at Iowa State University and a Culinary degree in Japan. She also grew up in the traditional Japanese family, she learned Kaiseki and Shojin cuisine from her grandmother who was a Buddhist monk, Kaiseki cuisine incorporates various aspects of traditional Japanese culture and tea ceremony.

Shojin cuisine/Shojin Ryori is a Japanese Buddhist cuisine which is a complete vegetarian or vegan meal.   Miki is very excited to introduce you to her own fusion foods based on all the knowledge and skills.

The main goal of Azuki’s Kitchen is also to utilize the fresh produce and products from the local farmers. Azuki’s Kitchen strives to be healthy and for you to enjoy our real homemade foods at your home!
